Device Connection

  1. Connect all included cables correctly to the device.

  2. HDMI Port: Ensure it is accurately connected to the graphics card output on the computer to guarantee a stable HD video signal.

  3. Power Connection: You may choose to connect the power supply to either the PFD or the MFD. Connect a Cat 6 network cable and plug it into the network ports on the PFD and MFD. By connecting the PFD and MFD with the network cable, you can supply power to the other device that is not directly connected to the power supply.

  4. USB Port: Connect the USB ports of both the PFD and MFD to the computer’s USB ports respectively, so that the computer can detect and manage these two devices.

Figure 3 Wiring Diagram

Note: Both the PFD and MFD USB ports must be connected to the computer. Once successfully connected, two devices named “G1000-PFD” and “G1000-MFD” will be displayed in the computer’s device page.

Backlight Adjustment

There is a VOL knob on the upper left of the device. When the device is not connected to an upper-level system (such as a computer), you can rotate this knob to adjust the backlight brightness, making it suitable for different usage environments.

Firmware Update

To keep the device’s performance and features at their best, you may need to perform a firmware update.

Here are the steps:

Only plug in one G1000 device (i.e. MFD or PFD) at a time to your computer.

Also ensure the CLS-60/120 is NOT powered on.

Firmware Update Process

Preparation - Press and hold the VOL PUSH and EMERS buttons in the upper right corner of the device without releasing them, then plug in the power. At this time, the device name will become “CLS-bootloader,” indicating it has entered firmware update mode.

Software Preparation - Open FFBTools V3 software on your computer.

Load and Update Firmware - Using the FFBTools V3 software, head to Firmware Update section, select the G1000 photo, then select Load Firmware.

Then download and select the firmware (.bin) file (this file will be provided by us).

Follow the on-screen prompts to load and update the firmware.

During the update process, keep the connection between the device and computer stable to avoid interrupting the update process.

X-Plane Connection Configuration

If you want to configure the G1000 device in X-Plane quickly, follow these steps:

Download G1000-PFD - Windows.joy & G1000-MFD - Windows.joy configuration files:

Move the above four files to X-Plane’s "joystick configs" folder (you can refer to the illustrations here for the specific location of this folder):

Figure 5 - Joystick Config

  1. Reset Button Settings:
    (1) Open X-Plane and go to the Device Interface.
    (2) In the device list, find “Joystick” and locate the entry corresponding to your G1000 device (using the PFD device as an example).

Verify Configuration:

After completing the above steps, the default configuration information will be shown under BUTTONS. You can now use the G1000 device in X-Plane.

Replace In-Game G1000 Border File:

(1) If you wish to replace the in-game G1000 border file, first back up the original folder as a precaution.

(2) Download and copy the images below into the corresponding folder in X-Plane. This will remove the pop-up window border, providing a more immersive gaming experience.

(2) Drag the screen to fill the G1000 display, and make sure the white title bar is located on the upper main screen for optimal display.

MSFS2020 Connection Configuration

If you want to configure the G1000 device in MSFS2020 (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020) quickly, follow these steps:

  1. Install Mobiflight:
Visit the Mobiflight official website and follow the tutorial there to install and set it up.

  2. Configure Mobiflight:
    (1) Open the Mobiflight software, click the “File” menu, then select “Open.”
    (2) In the pop-up file selection window, locate and select the “G1000-USB.mcc” file provided below, then click “Open” to load it.

    Download G1000-USB.mcc:

  3. Device Configuration:
Because different computers have different GUIDs (Global Unique Identifiers), you need to select your device name in the Mobiflight software and associate it with the device in the configuration file.

Figure 9.

  1. Start Mapping:
Click the “Run” button in Mobiflight to start the module. A message will appear at the bottom of the page indicating that the device has been successfully connected and configured.

  2. Screen Pop-Up and Full-Screen Setting:
