Step #1 - Download, Unzip and Run The Latest FFBTools 2.2.8
NEW 4 Dec 2024 UPDATE: FFBTools V2.2.8 (No need to re-flash Firmware 2.1.7 when upgrading from FFBTools V2.2.7 to FFBTools V2.2.8)
For existing users: You may delete older versions of FFBTools software.
IMPORTANT: Ensure to download FFBTools and place it in the SAME DIRECTORY as your flight simulator software installation location e.g. If your flight simulators are installed in D: drive, download and place the FFBTools software folder in D: drive.
Then install FFB Tools by extracting the zip file.
FFBTools V2.2.8 Changelog:
Restricted autopilot settings to prevent the PMDG aircraft autopilot from disengaging due to excessive operational ranges.
Optimized how component programs start and stop to fix window flickering on launch and stopping software instances after closing.
Added data limits to prevent abnormal force effects caused by faulty data readings.
Resolved Windows falsely detecting the program as a virus and improved screen flickering when launching the software and related programs, especially on Windows 11.

Previous FFB Tools Changelog:
FFBTools V2.2.7
Added compatibility for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Added compatibility for PMDG 737 series autopilot and trim functionality.
Resolved conflicts between autopilot and software trim in specific scenarios.
Fixed the issue where hardware trim did not resume automatically after autopilot disengagement.
Addressed the problem preventing autopilot re-engagement after being disengaged.
Corrected misidentification of FD guidance mode as autopilot status in X-Plane.
Improved yoke physics and prop wash effects when ground speed is below yoke centering speed.
Increased the maximum dynamic force speed limit to 400.
FFBTools V2.2.6:
Customization of the A2A Comanche aircraft's autopilot and trimming logic functionality
Optimization of the pitch trim logic during autopilot operation
Removal of two popup boxes after successful connection
Ability to remember the last selected simulation software
Improvement of the Yoke Physics elevator centering effect during takeoff
FFBTools V2.2.4:
Profile settings (Pitch, Roll & Custom Configurations) are now automatically saved when loaded. No need to click "Save Configure" when you load a profile.
Fixed & Improved Turbulence Effect
Step #2 - Update to Firmware 2.1.7
22 November 2024 UPDATE: Firmware 2.1.7
Check latest Firmware:
FFBTools > Help > About Hardware > Device_version
Only update firmware if current firmware is lower than 2.1.7
NOTE #1: Do not use a USB hub when updating firmware! Connect the yoke directly to your computer. (For cockpit builders, you may wish to use a longer USB-C to USB-A cable to connect the CLS-60/120 FFB yoke directly to your PC).
NOTE #2: YOU MUST RE-CALIBRATE THE YOKE IN BOTH WINDOWS GAME CONTROLLER & IN X-PLANE AFTER FLASHING THIS NEW FIRMWARE.
NOTE #3: Check the aileron and elevator axes in the simulator are working as expected. Reverse/Un-Reverse the axes if necessary.
Changelog:
Firmware Version 2.1.7
Enhanced the stroke calibration algorithm to improve position feedback accuracy.
Refined the inertia force algorithm for the ROLL axis, setting the default inertia force parameter to 25.
Resolved USB joystick data stroke issues, addressing sensitivity curve problems in X-Plane and MSFS.
Reduced ROLL axis sensitivity within the null zone for smoother control.
Corrected inaccurate ROLL axis force data display during autopilot operation.
Fixed missing error reports for failed ROLL axis calibration.
How to update firmware video:
Previous Firmware Changelog:
Firmware Version 2.1.6
Modified trim output reporting during autopilot mode to report trim position instead of autopilot position
When autopilot is enabled, the pitch axis data reported by the lever position will be changed from the original reduced processing to no processing
Fixed the issue where the coupling mode fails to respond probabilistically or gets stuck in slave mode after power-on. The CAN transmission for master-slave connection is changed to not automatically resend
Step #3 - Adjust Compatibility Settings
1) Right-Click FFBTools application > Properties > Compatibility
2) ENABLE ‘Run program as administrator’
3) Change high DPI settings > check the “Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:” option.
Then choose the “System (Enhanced)” option from the drop-down list.
